We are excited to announce that Umit Agca has recently taken on the role of Sales Manager Europe at Sofis. Umit’s journey with Sofis began in 2019 as a Project Engineer, and by 2021, he had advanced to Sales Manager Benelux, where he consistently delivered impressive results. His promotion to Sales Manager Europe is a natural and exciting progression, positioning him to further expand Sofis’ regional presence.
Customer-centric focus
In his new role, Umit is committed to thoroughly understanding the European market. His priority is to engage with our partners and customers to uncover their specific needs, ensuring that Sofis continues to offer tailored solutions that enhance operations across various industries. By focusing on customer needs and collaborating closely with partners, Umit aims to deliver solutions that optimize safety, efficiency, and sustainability in valve operations across the continent.
Expanding beyond oil & gas
Umit is enthusiastic about broadening Sofis’ reach into additional sectors. He sees significant potential in applications outside of oil and gas, where Sofis’ innovations can make a substantial impact. “We’ve been concentrating on developing new applications beyond oil and gas, including our latest product, SiLoC. SiLoC ensures the safe and efficient loading and offloading of silos, and in the coming months, I look forward to engaging with customers in diverse industries to explore how Sofis can improve valve operations in their fields,” Umit explains.
Learning from emerging markets
Alongside new applications like SiLoC, Sofis’ experience with evolving sectors such as hydrogen and carbon capture has provided valuable insights into the unique challenges and requirements of these industries. “Through our work in hydrogen and carbon capture, we’re not just solving problems – we’re also gaining deep insights into these new markets and their specific needs. This enables us to better adapt and position our products to support safe valve operations. By working closely with our customers, we continue to improve our offerings,” says Umit.
Leading the European sales team
Umit has long been a valued member of the European sales team, and his familiarity with the strengths and capabilities of his colleagues will be a valuable asset as he steps into his new leadership role.
Strengthening partnerships across Europe
Umit is equally focused on building stronger relationships with Sofis’ partners throughout Europe. “For me, it’s essential that both our partners and customers succeed. We aim to provide our partners with the knowledge and tools they need to effectively support customers, particularly in explaining how our products solve challenges related to safe and efficient valve operations,” Umit says. To strengthen this partnership network, Umit plans to regularly bring together Sofis’ European partners to share best practices and learn from each other’s experiences. This collaborative approach will better equip Sofis’ partners to meet customer needs and enhance Sofis’ overall success across Europe.
