Smith Flow Control and Netherlocks Safety Systems announce their merger, effective April 4th, to create a global market leader in process valve safety and operation, with the new business operating under a single board of directors.
Both the interlock brands (Smith Flow Control and Netherlocks) will continue to be used in the marketplace, supported from their current operational headquarters in the UK and the Netherlands respectively. A new name for the combined business will be determined in the coming months.
The merger will create a larger, stronger, market-led organization. Our aim is to accelerate growth by delivering increased customer satisfaction, diversifying our products and penetrating new markets. The new combined business will operate from 11 offices in nine countries to ensure:
- a clearer and coordinated representation of SFC and NL products in all markets;
- improved local sales, engineering and servicing support in all regions;
- accelerated new product development and diversification;
- a larger and complementary product portfolio arranged in three distinct product groups (process safety, drive systems, valve monitoring) will be available through more specialist channels.
We are looking forward to this exciting future together and to be able to further serve our customers and partners with innovative solutions that enhance the efficiency and risk control of valve operation.
